C9 petroleum resin is an oligomer. C9 petroleum resin is characterized by low acid value, good miscibility, resistance to water, ethanol and chemicals, chemical stability to acid and base, and good viscosity regulation and thermal stability. Petroleum resins are generally not used alone, but as accelerators, regulators, modifiers and other resins used together.
Application field of C9 petroleum resin
1. Application in coatings: C9 petroleum resin can replace "rosin modified phenolic resin" and "rosin calcium ester" equally, and make C9 petroleum resin varnish and various kinds of lacquers, whose properties can meet the standards of "F01-1 phenolic varnish" and "F04-1 phenolic enamel". However, the cost of C9 petroleum resin is only 24.8% of that of "rosin modified phenolic resin". Its application in coating industry has broad development prospects.
2 Application in rubber products: C9 petroleum resin can respectively replace Gumaron resin (as reinforcing softener, can reduce the cost of products), oil, softening heavy oil and other rubber additives, used in oil seal rubber material, water tank bend rubber material and heat resistant, acid resistant, alkali resistant and other rubber material.
3 Application in binder: C9 petroleum resin and the same amount of natural rubber in solvent mixed, can be obtained pressure sensitive binder, the binder coated in kraft paper, cloth or cellophane and other substrates, can be used as a bond. Natural rubber and C9 petroleum resin used alone do not have bonding property, if the two are mixed, it will obviously show rubber bonding property.
