Petroleum resins are widely used in coatings anticorrosion. Such as the preparation of steel plate anti-rust paint, ship primer, silver and aluminum paint. Used for metal corrosion and and a general decoration for silver and aluminum powder.
5. In other coatings
Petroleum resins are also widely used in some special coatings. The Marine Coatings Research Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry has developed a fishing gear antifouling coating. This is a surface protection coating applied to the net of the fishing tackle net, which can effectively prevent the attachment of marine life to the fishing gear, and the validity period is up to 6 months.
