With the increasing awareness of people's safety, more and more attention has been paid to the safety of surfactants. Many people worry that with a wide variety of daily chemical products becoming necessities of people's lives, such as toothpaste, soap, dishwashing detergent, washing powder (agent) and all kinds of cosmetics, etc., everyone will consume a certain amount of surfactants more or less every day. Therefore, there is a growing demand for low-toxic, non-toxic, biodegradable, environmentally friendly green surfactants.
At present, the research, production and utilization of surfactants are developing towards greening and functionalization. Specifically in:
1) Improve the molecular structure of surfactants and develop easily biodegradable green surfactants. For example, alkenyl sulfonates, amine oxides, polyoxyethylene non-ionics, crown ethers, starch-based, amino acid-based polymer surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, and biosurfactants with excellent degradation properties are gradually replaced. Refractory biodegradable surfactants such as alkyl, aryl sulfonate, polyoxyethylene alkyl phenol ether containing benzene ring, etc.
2) Design and develop surfactants that are mild to the human body to avoid major damage to human skin and internal organs during the use of surfactants.
3) In the process of surfactant synthesis, fully utilize the synergistic effect between surfactants, screen and develop multifunctional treatment agents, expand cleaning functions, and reduce the cost of treatment agents.
4) While considering the greening of products and raw materials of surfactants, the development and research of green chemical synthesis process of surfactants should be strengthened.
